Yard of the Month April 2024

April’s Junius Heights Historic District Yard of the Month award goes to 5926 Reiger Ave. Anna Martinez and her husband bought their beautiful home in 2008. They are longtime Lakewood residents and were looking for a home large enough to also comfortably house Anna’s father while staying in the east Dallas area. Anna found this charming 1925 bungalow while attending an estate sale. It sits on a third acre and met all their needs. Their home has been the site of many happy holiday and birthday celebrations. One of Anna‘s favorite memories is planting flower bulbs with her grandchildren every fall so that the plants would be blooming by Easter. Currently Anna is in the process of downsizing so she can live closer to her children. Congratulations Anna and thank you for being such a great neighbor!
