Yard of the Month

Yard of the Month August 2022

The Junius Heights Historic District Yard of the Month Award for August 2022 goes to Quinton and Kelly Matthews at 5638 Tremont. Quinton and Kelly moved to Junius Heights in 2010 and their house was on our 2013 Home Tour. This 1880 farmhouse was moved from the Old City Park area by the Crescent in 1980 and completely restored from a duplex back to a single-family home in 2007. The Mathews had planned to expand their landscaping this year but, in this drought, they wisely kept it simple, giving a modern feel to their old farmhouse. Their landscaper is Juarez Lawn Care. Congratulations Quinton and Kelly, nicely done!
