Police Raid Suspected Drug House

fter receiving information from the community, the police raided a suspected drug house on Eastside, January 30. After verifying that suspicious activities may occurred, it was raided. The police took possession of three simulated rifles, lots of electrons (stolen car stereos, direct TV sets, a DVR, etc.) along with crack cocaine and cash.

If you have anything that was recently stolen, you might contact Lieutenant Bull at 214-670-5066 or 214-412-9936 mobile for further assistance. It is always helpful to put your driver’s license on items or retain the serial numbers of products in case the items are stolen so that the police can trace them.

If you do see suspicious activity, you may call Lt. Bull and remain anonymous.

Truck Broken Into on Ridgeway

A truck was broken into sometime between Jan. 9 and January 17 in the 700 block of Ridgeway. Stolen were a Peavey sound system along with a related equipment bag (mics, cables, Latin rhythm instruments) and a gym bag. The cargo area was secured by a lock tonneau cover but the thieves were able to pop it open without damaging the truck so the theft was noticed right away.

Harassment on Junius Street

As one of our Junius Heights residents was walking back from the library with her daughter last Saturday (Feb.2), she had some sexually explicit comments hurled at her by several young men (boys?) standing around listening to music. The incident happened in the 5700 block of Junius. This is harassment. Please call the police to report any such incidents. The number of police patrols is based, in part, on the number of incidents reported.
