Vehicles Vandalized

A car parked in front of a house in the 5700 block of Victor was burglarized the night of Thursday, Feb. 14. The next night, Friday, Feb. 15, a vehicle that was parked in the 5400 block of Columbia was also burglarized.

There have been a number of these incidents in both areas recently. Please report any suspicious activity to the police. Please also report all incidents.

Residences Burglarized

A house in the 700 block of Beacon had its door kicked in and property stolen on Friday, Feb. 15. The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m.

A residence in the 5300 block of Victor was burglarized early Tuesday evening, Feb. 12. Entry was made by breaking a back window.

Necklace Found on Street

An expensive-looking bracelet was found at the corner of Worth and Beacon a couple of weeks ago. A sign at the corner was unsuccessful in locating the owner. If it is yours and you can identify it, please contact pmayfield@swbell.net.

Lispcomb Meet and Greet Rescheduled

The Lipscomb Meet and Greet, originally scheduled for Feb. 6, has been changed to Wednesday, Feb. 13th from 9:30-10:30 at Lipscomb. 2008 J. L. Long Middle School Meet and Greet

Current 5th Grade Parents are invited to a Long Middle School PTA Meet and Greet on Thursday, Feb. 7 with social time beginning at 6:30 and the presentation at 7:15. EDENS, LOST AND FOUND: SEATTLE

What: Seattle: Edens Lost and Found series

Come to the showing of “Seattle: The Future is Now”, one of the series, Edens Lost and Found: How Ordinary Citizens are Restoring Our Great American Cities. This wonderful PBS series “showcases extraordinary stories of environmental rebirth in four very different American cities”. This series also includes Los Angeles, Seattle and Philadelphia. Learn about the innovative projects taking place. Some are on a small neighborhood basis and others, city-wide. You will gain practical information about how these projects were started and sustained.

Experience the excitement created by these projects and dream about what can be done here in our neighborhoods and city.
