Car Stolen and Another Vandalized in 5600 Block of Columbia

Last night, Tuesday March 11, a baby blue 1990 Buick Century in good condition was stolen from the 5600 block of Columbia. Before stealing this car, the car thief (thieves ?) attempted to steal a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis that had been donated to the Trinity Foundation. They broke out the driver’s side window and destroyed the steering column in a failed attempt to steal that car.

Expedition Vandalized in 5800 Block of Columbia

An Expedition was broken into on Monday, March 3, between 12:00 a.m and 6:00 in the 5800 Block of Columbia.

Property Stolen from Car in 5000 Block of Victor

An unlocked trunk was opened and material was stolen from a car parked in the 5000 block of Victor on Monday, March 10.

Yard Shed Burglarized in 5100 Block of Victor

A yard shed in the 5100 block of Victor was broken into on Saturday, March 1.

Vandalism of Cars Continue

* A car parked in the 5600 block of Columbia was broken into either late Sunday night March 2) or early Monday morning (March 3).
* A vehicle’s window in the 5500 block of Worth was broken on Feb. 29 and property was stolen.
* A window of a car, parked in the 5500 block of Gaston, was broken Feb. 28 to remove items.

If possible, park off the street, close to a street light. The best defense is to have nothing visible in your cars that could interest a thief.

Burglary of a Residence

A residence in the 4900 block of Junius was the victim of a burglary Feb. 29. The thieves broke down the door to gain entry.
