Cars Burglarized

A car was burglarized around midnight Sunday, October 28. The car, parked at Junius at Ridgeway. was broken-into. There wasn’t much to take—sunglasses and small stuff was stolen. The small change was ignored. A neighbor saw the whole incident and called police. The three thieves were in a white 4-door sedan, Hispanic with the driver having a partially shaved head. Two stayed in the car while the third broke into the car.

Thieves went through another car in the 5500 block of Worth the same night and took several CDs, a mapsco from the trunk and some small change. The car was not damaged.

Suspicious White Truck

On Friday, October 26, two thin Hispanic women in their 20s were observed breaking into a house on Worth Street in the afternoon. They were driving a white truck. On the same day, a white Dodge pickup was seen parked in the alley behind Gaston by a house on Dumont around 1:30 p.m. As soon as they were noticed they drove away. The license number was 8ZZ 1GI or 8ZZ 1G1. The occupants were a Hispanic male and female.

Please call 911 if you have any additional information.

Remember to report everything to the police because the number of police patrols are based, in part, upon the number of incidents documented.

This is a wonderful PBS series about efforts to create sustainable cities. This series also includes Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago. You can see the innovative projects taking place. Some are on a small neighborhood basis and others, city-wide . There is also practical information about how these projects were started.

Experience the excitement created by these projects and dream about what can be done here in our neighborhoods and city.
