April 1st crime Alert

Last Thursday night, March 30, a resident in the 700 block of Glasgow was awakened by the ringing of the doorbell in the middle of the night. Through the door, the man on the porch said that he lived a couple of doors down, his wifes car had a flat tire, and he needed $6.00 for the repair. Knowing that this was not a neighbor, the door was not opened.

The man on the porch was an Anglo, bald, medium build, and of medium height. He was wearing a red T-shirt and was driving a red car. It is fairly safe to assume that he did not have good intentions.

This house has had two vehicle break-ins in recent months, one in January and one in November. Both involved breaking a window in a car parked in front of the house and theft of the car stereo.

One another note, Sunday last week, some parents observed illicit activity at the Lipcomb playground last Sunday afternoon. The couple was chased off by one of the parents.
